Undergraduate Degree Program

The degree programs are structured around our Bible core (English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Church History, Bible, Foundational Studies, and Systematic Theology). Two-thirds of all credit earned must be from TBI. See explanatory note below.

Every student in an Associate degree program must have a Biblical Education core of a minimum of 15 semester hours. To this Biblical Education core are added general education and professional education courses. These courses are chosen by students according to their areas of emphasis.

Every student in the Bachelor degree program must have a Biblical Education core of a minimum of 26 semester hours. To this Biblical Education core are added general and professional education courses. These courses are chosen by students according to their areas of emphasis.

Explanatory Note: All new students who have enrolled in Triangle Bible Institute at the start of the fall 2010 semester must satisfy credit requirements (new standards) as delineated in the undergraduate degree programs. All students who were enrolled in Triangle Bible Institute programs prior to the fall 2010 semester will satisfy credit requirements under the old standards (grandfathered-in).

ASSOCIATE OF DIVINITY (55 Credits – forwarded 15+40=55)

This degree program is intended for those who have been called into the five-fold ministry. Divinity is the basis of all religious programs. This program focuses on developing the spiritual calling of one’s life as opposed to one’s selecting a ministry. Students will acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and techniques to help them to be effective in their particular ministries.

Students will be required to pass an entrance-level examination to determine placement in this program. Students will be expected to know basic biblical principles. Students will also be required to undergo an interview with a qualified administrator in the field of Christian studies. Students must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

If a candidate for admission is in the process of earning either a high school diploma or equivalent, a letter of recommendation from his/her pastor, person in a church leadership position or administrator where his/her studies are being completed may be accepted. Students without a diploma or a GED who are not pursuing either will be allowed to enroll in TBI classes for non-credit.

An Associate of Divinity Degree requires (1) fifty-five (55) credit hours of study, (2) a passing grade on an Old and New Testament examination and (3) an overall grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.0.
